O Serviço Voluntário Europeu (SVE) é um programa de voluntariado inserido no Programa Juventude em Acção 2007-2013, dirigido aos jovens entre os 18 e os 30 anos que permite levar a cabo um serviço de voluntariado com duração máxima de 12 meses num país diferente do seu de residência.
Relativamente às actividades desenvolvidas em países europeus há uma base de dados de projectos que foram previamente aprovados pelas respectivas agências nacionais do Programa Juventude em Acção.

Existe uma base de dados com inúmeros projectos que se estão a desenvolver em diversos países da Europa, que podes consultar em http://ec.europa.eu/youth/evs/aod/hei_en.cfm
* Podes procurar por país, tema, duração, etc. Depois de submeteres a procura irá aparecer uma lista de projectos (do país/tema escolhid@)
* para mais infomações acerca dos projectos, basta clicar na coluna do lado esquerdo (em cima dos números de referência dos projectos)
* As candidaturas são entregues de dois em dois meses (1 de Fevereiro, 1 de Abril, 1 de Junho, 1 de Setembro e 1 de Novembro) e o SVE tem inicio, aproximadamente, 3/4 meses depois.
1º passo: consultar a base de dados e escolher um projecto (ou mais, no caso das vagas para voluntariado estarem preenchidas ou de o projecto já não estar a decorrer)
2º passo: contactar a associação responsável pelo projecto (saber se estão a aceitar voluntários e se o projecto ainda está a decorrer) e enviar CV e carta de motivação.
3º passo: entrar em contacto connosco, a fim de dar início aos contactos com os intervenientes no processo e elaborar as candidaturas

Art & culture project (Musical Instruments Laboratory)

Duration of the project: 3 weeks – 1 month
Number of the volunteers: 2-4 / period
This project depends on voluntary work because the traditional musical instruments and also the experimental musical instruments we build are not for selling but only for exhibitions, presentations and for the own exhibition of our organization.
The volunteers will work together with local and long-term EVS volunteers in order to help in the organization's creative projects.
The volunteers will have special guidance and support from the stuff and the members of Orfeas, in all the cases of highly demanding tasks (building instruments, computer work, etc.).
In the end of the project the volunteers can take the musical instrument that they build during their project.
Main Activities
1) Building and reconstruction for traditional and modern musical instruments (in cooperation with local volunteers and the members of our organization)
2) Cut and preparation of wood for processing (with special guidence and support)
3) Creation of a step-by-step guide and developing presentation with photographs and text concerning the building and conservation of traditional musical instruments (collecting material and information from the everyday-work in the laboratory and from our library)
4) Organize exhibitions with the musical instruments, which are made through the voluntary work and presentations about the European voluntary work
5) Make Internet researches for information and new techniques on instrument building, and organizations with similar activities from the E.U. (networking activities and future plans)
